Mystery Trip 2010
Len Buchanan
This club has gone on many, many field trips and it is hoped that we can start tracking them, minerals found, pictures of collecting, and pictures of collectors. So if you have any stuck away in your computer or even old pictures, we have a way to get them on here.
"Mystery trip" 2010. It took place at the old tourmaline prospect near McCoy's Narrows, west of Perth, Ontario.
Don Lapham and others get down and dirty.
Bill Plavac wields a mean "gem scoop" while Doug Dingeldein (right) supervises and Don Caldwell feigns surprise. Dick Stata, as usual, is busy at work getting the best specimens.
Jim Haase followed the vein up from the water-filled pit and struck it rich with his hard work. Don Caldwell observes the goodies.
Ray Hainsworth pretends to look busy.
Our new members, Heidi Tomes (r) and Kieran Jedermann, look over their finds.
Jim Haase carries a biggie to the truck.
Jim Haase's cool specimen.
The whole gang at dinner.
